Contracting
When the drawing becomes reality.
We carry out contracting and fit-out works and manage projects with a clear sequence of works, daily site follow-up, and quality control at every stage before moving on to the next.
Registered Scope
A contracting scope defined by registration.
The scope of DAL's contracting work is set by its membership of the Saudi Contractors Authority — three primary activities, each listed in its own right.
The practical need
Project delays usually do not happen in the construction itself, but in coordination: an unsettled scope, late procurement, overlapping works with no sequence, and quality issues discovered late.
Early planning and disciplined follow-up are what turn the drawing into an on-time handover.
Capability areas
General contracting
Carrying out structural and architectural works under direct engineering supervision.
Fit-out & interior works
Office, commercial and operational fit-outs with high handover quality.
Project management & supervision
Planning, scheduling, daily site follow-up and regular progress reports.
Quality & safety control
QA/QC, inspections and documented staged acceptance for every stage.
Scope
Three registered activities.
Construction of Buildings
The construction of buildings: the primary registered activity, taking a building from structure to completed form.
Specialized Construction Activities
Registered as a distinct activity alongside building construction, covering specialized construction work.
Services to Buildings & Landscape Activities
Extends the registered scope beyond construction — to services for the building itself and to the landscape of its site.
The Build
From frame to finish.
An abstract sequence of how a build takes shape — shown as it assembles, stage by stage.
Frame
Every build begins with a defined frame — the lines, levels and structure that everything else depends on.
Structure
Within the frame, the structure takes form, level by level.
Finish
The building is completed, and the site around it is brought into order.
Execution Cycle
The execution cycle from task to handover.
Connected stages, each with its own inputs, outputs and acceptance gate.
- Requirement
- Drawing review
- Scope
- Planning
- Procurement coordination
Understanding the goal and constraints | detecting clashes early | settling what the work includes | scheduling activities and resources | ensuring materials are available on time
- On-site execution
- Quality control
- QA/QC inspection
- Handover
Execution in a disciplined sequence with daily follow-up | inspecting each stage before the next | addressing and closing snags | documented final acceptance
Schedule control
Daily follow-up of work progress, and early correction of any deviation from the plan.
Change control
Any change to the scope goes through a clear assessment of its impact on cost and duration before it is approved.
Documentation
A complete record of inspections, acceptances and approvals, ready for final handover.
A clear sequence, early coordination and quality gates are what protect the schedule and the budget.
Integrated Smart Delivery
We carry out construction while taking into account the systems that will be installed in it.
Preparing spaces for smart systems
Allocating device locations, cable routes and power points during architectural execution.
Infrastructure coordination
Aligning electrical and mechanical works with the requirements of security systems and networks.
Network & security readiness
Preparing the infrastructure to receive cameras, access-control systems and sensors.
Smart device installation
Coordinating the installation and testing of systems in parallel with the finishing stages, not after them.
As-built documentation
Final execution drawings that reflect what was actually built — a reliable basis for operation and maintenance.
Handover to operation
Coordinated trial operation and a handover ready for operation & maintenance contracts from day one.
Technology is considered during execution, not added after construction is complete.
This is where contracting meets cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
Registration
The record behind the scope.
